- Charlie, is that you? Long time no hear.
-
- Here is the current schedule for completing the ISO draft standard.
- The schedule assumes that all votes are affirmative. If any vote
- rejects the draft standard, slip the schedule by about 6 months
- from that point.
-
- Date Who What
- ===========================================
- 3/96 WG21 Mtg #15
- 7/96 WG21 Resolve CD ballot; Mtg #16.
- 8/96 WG21 Complete editorial corrections.
- 9/96 SC22 Final CD ballot 3 mos. (and ANSI public-comment period)
- 11/96 WG21 Mtg #17.
- 3/97 WG21 Mtg #18
- 7/97 WG21 Resolve Final CD ballot; Mtg #19.
- 8/97 WG21 Complete editorial corrections
- 9/97 JTC1 DIS ballot 4 mos.
- 11/97 WG21 Mtg #20.
- 3/98 WG21 Complete editorial corrections.
- ITTF receives IS from WG21 Editor for publication via SC22
- secretariat (with final report).
-
- The ISO side of the C++ committee is WG21, which is under SC22, which is
- under JTC1. "CD" means Committee Draft, the draft standard which is
- voted on. When a CD is accepted, it becomes a Draft International
- Standard (DIS). After final approval, the DIS becomes an International
- Standard (IS).
-
- Again assuming all votes affirmative, the final IS will differ hardly at
- all from the Final CD submitted later this year.
